How will you learn?

  • Online - The Nursery Teachers Training One Year Classroom Teaching is an extensive course that is covered in an in-class and online mode.
  • In-class mode - The course also focuses on classroom teaching of 48 hrs. (4 times X 2 days each time - 6 hours per day) and teaching practice with real learners (6 hours) to provide candidates with a real life teaching experience before venturing into the field of nursery teaching.
  • Face to face - The program also comes with a face to face module that will come every quarter with a prior date and will be available in Delhi, Bangalore, Mumbai and Kolkata.
  • (The execution of F2F module will depend on the number of candidates that ACT receives for that module. Each F2F modules needs prior registration. Failing to show up for F2F module after registration for a particular quarter will result in paying Rs.5000/- (or 100 USD) for the next F2F module.)
  • Tutor Driven - The course is tutor driven, i.e. in order not to feel isolated; online students will have the support provided by a tutor. Considering the role and work conditions of the tutor while supporting students in blended learning, four different functions of tutoring in virtual space can be established:
    • Pedagogical - attempts to sustain the content learning process;
    • Social - attempts to support inter-personal and social relationships by considering personal needs, requests, feelings and other expressions;
    • Managerial - attempts to keep a certain course / learning activity in line within the general aims;
    • Technical - interventions related to different technical problems
  • Assignments - Assignments play an important and crucial part in the completion of the course as it is the assignments based on which candidates will be evaluated.
  • Teaching Practice - Each student has to arrange their own TP for at least 6 hours that can be spread over a time. ACT can provide letter of request on behalf of the trainee to the schools to arrange TP. School authority / Principal has to submit a report based on performance on a report template provided by ACT.
  • ACT provides dedicated and experienced trainers who will help candidates during the course through videos, cases, chats, webinar Support etc.

Cambridge English Language Assessment Authorised Centre

Asian College of Teachers (ACT), the leader in teacher training education in Asia is glad to be associated with Cambridge and become the authorised centre for conducting Cambridge TKT Exam all over India. TKT is the acronym for Teaching Knowledge Test and is conducted by Cambridge, which tests your basic teaching knowledge. The test consists of three core modules, with one test for each. After the successful completion of each module, the candidates are provided with Cambridge English certificates. The test for each module has 80 questions and continues for 80 minutes and may be taken together or separately, in any order of the candidate's preference. All authorised centres for TKT are inspected by Cambridge English Language Assessment to ensure that the centres meet their high standards.

Teaching Knowledge Test, or TKT, is appropriate for aspirants willing to develop themselves as a teacher but lack the idea or knowledge of the modern English teaching methodologies, required skills and approaches; the TKT test will certainly enhance their teaching career and give it a fitting start. For this, they have to just register and appear for as many modules as they want, over any period of time and receive Cambridge English certificates for each module that they complete.

After the completion of our One year NTT Part Time Program (Blended) program, the students can apply and prepare for Cambridge TKT exam through us and gain an internationally reputed Cambridge Teaching Knowledge Certificate (Cambridge TKT).
